[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Jackrabbit is riding out a storm in a hole he has dug in some snow. The blowing snow covers his fur on his back making him look even colder but in reality it shows how well his fur insulates him as the snow is not melting. Thank you for looking.

Glad your back Jack...or Rick..but the other rhymes... and then of course Jack Rabbit..instead of bunny..which leads to Jack Daniels..but it was Daniel Boone who ate rabbit.....and a boon for teh industry, most of which is now imported from China..Don't worry Rick...the meds will wear off soon!

Hi Rick,
This bunny is well camouflaged! Those footsteps gave an idea of where this guy was hiding. Lovely composition and POV.
Well done.

Hi Rick, nice to look at your superb pictures once more, thank God you survived! This is an unusual and very nice shot of a rabbit, isn't it impressive to see them survive and keep warm in such weather? You really show it to us through this picture and I love the "uncolour" yet lively and brillant image. Thanks!

Hello Rick,
An interesting situation has been captured!
Be sure the rabbit knows this will work, otherwise a more effective shelter would have been used...
Amazing how the big brown eyes are the first thing I see!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Rick,

What you said about plants holds true for animals too - how hearty they must be to survive extreme conditions. This reminds me of a shot I took last summer of a rabbit under a bush to get out of the 100 plus temperature. This is a wonderful shot - the whites are soooo good. I love the eye!!!!

Hi Rick, I really like this one. The eye peeping out of the snow seems almost like a periscope. Very excellent detail seen on this one with great light and colour, and a very unique, original composition.

Thanks, John

Hi Rick,
What an interesting capture that shows us perfectly the behavior of this cute animal. You were lucky to see it as it is not evident! You managed exposure very well and captured beautiful details. I like this picture a lot. Thanks,
