[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This steep hill was our familys' winter fun, once enough snow built up on the hill we would slide down on our snowsuits or dig snow caves for hours on end. Breaking to warm up in the car only when we were half frozen. Many fond memories were made on this hill and others in the Cypress Hills.

Hi Rick,
looks like a great place to have fun on, must hold some special memories for you and yours. Really like the shadows that show off the contours of the snow here and the light spindrift off of the top adds a nice touch too.

Hi Rick,
This is Canadian winter in all its glory! I like this composition with the wind blowing. This place must be a lot of fun! You managed exposure very well. Thanks!

Hi Rick,
that looks perfect for sledging! :-)
Nice diagonal composition.
I love the wind-blown snow.
Great exposure and lighting.
Well done,

Joe

Seems to me you would need a snow cave to hide you from that fierce wind Rick! In our childhood location we built snow forts of giant blocks. Some years they lasted while all other snows had melted. We made me' tough...or was that Ford Trucks....? Well done. A memory caught and remembered!

hello Rick

a lovelly winternal shot, i love the appropriate to this shot
vertical framing of the image and that you shoot your photo
with the wind blowing, in my area there is a park with a hill
and the childrens go and slide down and play, TFS

Hi Rick,

My grandson would love this steep hill! I love the blowing snow and the contours of the snow on the hill. Good contrast with the big dark trees and the blue sky.

"WAS"?? My bet is that if given the right excuse you'd build a snow cave again! I know my husband would. There are some things men don't outgrow. I just looked up Cypress Hills on Google Earth. I now have a clearer picture of your location. Thanks for sharing this memory with us.

Hi Rick,

Brrrrr...... it looks cold, I really like seeing the snow blown by the wind and under a beautiful light. Nice vertical composition!

Hi Rick, I'll bet every kid who grew up in Canada (or anywhere where you find snow) has a favourite hill that they slid down, or dug into. Great shot, it brings back some great memories.

Thanks, John

Hello Rick

You have captured the effects of blowing snow on a bright sunny day very well.
I actually enjoy days like this, and the blue skies and blowing snow that drifts can be very beautiful.
Well illuminated with sharp detail.
