hello, first of all i have to say that
yesturday night the store where
i buyed my SLR-like camera
phoned to tell me my camera
it is repared and come take it

i am very happy, i passed the last
month with out my SLR-like camera

the last month i posted images
from my archives, i would like to
post and share this image too,
photo taken with my 3 megapixel
compact digital camera

it is the wood duck inflight in in the
main page in duotone and in the
workshop page the color version

i love both versions of my image
but the duotone version i love it
more that the color version,
the reason is that in the color version
the blur background and the colors
(for my eyes) are disturbing the subject
of the image, in the duotone version
i don't have this feeling

you can give me your impressions
if is the same think with you,

both as i say i love both versions

now that i have back my SLR-like camera
i will go again do photos and i
n the year 2008 i decide that i will buy
a new camera, this time a real SLR

the brand PENTAX has 2 new camera
the K20D and the K200D, it will be
the K200D because less expensive,
and i choosed those SLRs
because they are protected againts
the rain and the snow water

here is a interesting link on the wood duck
http://www.pfmt.org/wildlife/somethings/wood_duck.htm

thanks for viewing and critiques

Hello Asbed,

Nicely written note and hope you'll get your Pentax real soon. This Finepix is a good camera and you have done many good posts with it. This is good capture of one in flight. The sharpness is well observed in this panning composition. Well cropped giving room for the duck to fly. Well done and have a wonderful weekend.

Regards,
Jusni

It looks like a piece of art work from the front cover of an old Sports Afield magazine which I used to subscribe. The fall edition...but better off it is posted here...in the magazine it would have shared space next to ads for ammunition and such...very nice choice for conversion!

Asbed,
A fine piece of art!!!Very nice focus!!
TFS!!!

Asbed,
You did fine job here with 3 megapixel
compact digital camera. I like both, but I think I like the color version a little bit more. It give more detail as to what is what in color where in black and white, everything is a wash for me. composition is very good.

Very interesting effect. I love how the bird is in focus...the background seems secondary. Very interesting!

Hello Asbed

A very good panning shot of this Wood Duck.
You certainly get a lot of Wood Duck shots.
The action and motion are well seen.
