This is an incredible capture Lise. I love the pose of the owl and the wonderful positive and negative shapes in your composition. With your great camera and lens combination along with the tripod I would expect your images to be a bit crisper than they seem to be uploading. I tried a tiny bit of contrast and some sharpening and it sharpened up nicely. Do you sharpen after resizing? It makes a big difference.

Hi Lise. I have just started to take a few shots of birds in flight. looking at this one i have a long way to go. I like the pose with the bird turning in flight and it head looing around.fine detail .well done TFS.

Bonjour Lise,

Belle photo de ce Harfang en vol... Ce sont de spectaculaires oiseaux et le silence les entourant lors de leur déplacement participe à cette magie! Il me semble que l'image manque un tout petit peu de piqué surtout au niveau de la tête et du corps... Peut-être un léger flou de bougé... Le beau ciel bleu cependant rehausse magnifiquement l'oiseau et la composition + la position des ailes de l'oiseau en font une image unique!

Bravo Lise. The position of the wings and the head are stunning.Shadows and amount of light on the feathers worked well. I am a bit jealous now after viewing all these snowy owls photos of yours.:)
