I've seen the snowy on a roof, on a branch, on the ground, flying but for me it was the first time I saw him walking on the snow.....it was amazing to see this bird taking a short walk looking around before flying. There was just a bit of light that morning as the sky started to be covered by clouds to give us now a lot of snow!

This is one wonderful shot. Above all, I love the way the little guy is appears to be just shuffling along and enjoying his walk. The lighting and composition is superb. Congratulations on a great photograph. I am putting you on my favorites list, hoping to see some more of your great work. Bob

That's very beautiful - almost serene! Wonderful detail and composition! Bravo! Cheers, Klaus

WOW! (sometimes, less said the better)

bonjour Lise

Hello Lise,

Excellent shot of this snowy walking. Excellent POV, DOF and focus. Wonderful detail. Colours and light are wonderful. Beautiful nuances of brown of the feathers. The colour of the eyes is superb too.
Thanks for sharing,
Mariki

Well, this is natural, I should think, after all those flyings and soarings to and fro, the poor thing got tired and now, is taking a walk! Again a perfect capture from all the viewpoints of good photography Lise, TFS my friend.

Hi Lise

That's amazing, a walking owl in the snow; and he's got his eye on you too. Fantatsic exposure of white on white. Great sharpness and well composed. A truely unique moment, I didn't know owls could walk like that, TFS.
