[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a male Dark Eyed Junco chomping down on a tasty millet seed. Notice that part of the seed is flying out of his mouth.

Juncos are from the sparrow family, many of which enjoy millet at my feeder. I have noticed that they will also feast on safflower seeds and nyger that have been knocked from feeders by their messy house sparrow cousins. Juncos grow from 14-16cm and seem to be ground feeders. I find them to be fairly tame, although not to the same degree as, say, a black capped chickadee.

Hi Josh.
Amazing in every aspect shot of the fine bird at so impressive scenery. Fantastic reproduction of the dark feathers of the bird, white snow cover and all other attractive details. DOF is superb as well as the nice blurred BG. I think framing and composition of the picture are outstanding too. Bravo and kind regards.
