Hello, today i had a succesfull shot of an
American Red Squirrel dribbling on the snow,
the technic of my shot was to be patient and waite
that the subject do a movement and then clic
at the camera, i am very happy of my shot

i was in JPEG format, the zoom of 300mm was doubled
at the depriment of the image's composition quality,
i double my zoom of 300mm to be closer to the subject,
and this image was shot at ISO400

here is a link on the American Red Squirrel :

Hi Asben,

I love, love this shot. Full of action and detail and colour and light. Great low pov and excellent composition. You should be happy with your shot - any one of us would be. Well done.

Mike

Hello Asbed
I like this a immensely...
You have taken a superb picture here which is full of action with the squirrel in sharp focus from nose to tail kicking up the snow which is frozen perfectly as a moment in time.
You are doing everything right in my book by being patient and understanding the behaviour of your subject...Your letting them come to you..and you have also shown that you dont need a dslr and a super big lense to pull off a brilliant shot.
One for my faviourites.

Ps..what happened to the workshop you created for my las inflight picture?...please put it back on again

My best regards
paul

Hello Asbed,
Congratulations on this beautiful shot.Your patience has given you excellent results.Yesterday I also waited patiently to take a picture of a running squirrel. But I was not that lucky. The one I got in focus had the tail cut off.:( Now your picture has given me inspiration to give it another shot.Who knows may be next time i will be lucky.
This is a beautiful picture. The focus and sharpness are spot on.Perfect moment captured. I liked the splattered snow in the air.Beautiful composition.
Thanks for the share,
Smitha.

Hello Asbed,
Nice action shot of an American Red Squirrel, flicking the snow about. The POV and activity portrayed is the main attraction of this fine image, helped by the sharpness of both the snow flakes and squirrel.
Thanks for sharing this one and have a nice weekend,
Ivan

Hi Asbed,

I love this shot. What great timing to capture this squirrel as he's kicking up the snow. The flakes all around him are something special. His face is so cute with the white around his eyes and nose. Beautiful natural colors and good details. If this was a child playing in the snow I would say great candid shot.

Jane

Hi Asbed

:) Snow start from yesterday in Toronto and still is coming, I think in you place must be worse than here. But it seems snow makes some good opportunity, this is cute, nicely framed with nice exposure and good freezing. Lovely.
Well done

Hi Asbed.
Wonderful action shot and superb timing. You have frozen a very nice moment. Composition and framing are spot on as well as the colours and details. I think the scene is worthy some losses of quality. My best wishes and kind regards.
Alexei.

Bonjour Asbed
Très belle capture, couleurs et attitude du sujet, dommage pour la qualité générale, un doubleur monté sur un zoom d'une forte amplitude et toujours déconseillé.
Amicalement Robi

Hi Asbed

What a beautiful and lively portrait! I love the action here with the squirrel running through the snow. The shutter speed really froze the action and the low POV is wonderful. Lovely work
