[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little Black Bear cub was tired and wet from the rain soaked foliage when mom decide to tree him and his sibling so she could forage for food. He was checking out his sibling in another tree when this was taken. They were so tiny, hopefully we will see them this year all grown up. This was taken near Cameron Lake in Waterton Lakes National Park.

Hi Rick
Awe, sooooo cute. I hope mom was able to find a nice meal for her babies. This guy is so tiny and looks a bit sad all soaking wet up in the tree (a good place for him no doubt). I think this is nature at her best, a young healthy looking cub.

Hello Rick. Excellent shot at this cub. The cute post against the tree is well captured with good sharpness and clarity. Well done. Jusni

Hello Rick

There is something very forlorn in this cub's look.I guess mother bear wants to keep them safe, but baby bear wants the security of mother bear.
Well captured, the sense of separation is well caught.
Excellent focus and detail.
The colours are rich and earthy...my favourite palette of colours.

Hello Rick,
What a lovely sight of this cute little cub up the tree. I like the pose you've caught and details are very sharp. A lovely wild natural environment too. Well done!
Many thanks, Ulla

Super capture! Very enjoyable! Good detail and pose! Bravo!
Cheers, Klaus

What a superb setting and lens to pull the bear out from the dark forest background. And with it looking over the shoulder as well...a fine image and in your top ten file it should go Rick!

Hi Rick,

He is the cutest little thing! He looks so small. How great will that be to watch him grow up. I don't think he appreciated being separated from his sibling. The look on his face is wonderful. Beautiful colors and details and a lovely setting. He shows up very well even though he is black - and the eye shines.

Hi Rick, I cannot believe that I missed THREE of your pictures, I am late! I didn't want to go through without stopping to this one because it is so very beautiful, so cute and so real. Either human babies or bear babies or whatever babies must be sharing that emotional level when they are away from mom for too long! This is a great picture of a great moment, thank you!

Francine

Hello Rick;
Haha...that's fun!
Instead of "Go to you room immediately", it's " Get up into that tree immediately or else..."
Thanks for sharing this great moment.
