Hi Doug.
I like your note and you are absolutely right. And I am impressed with timing and skill of in-flight shooting in your case. Framing and composition of the picture are very good, its colour palette is wonderful and very pleasant to eyes as well as the nice blurriness of the scene. You managed to freeze the bird excellently. Details of the owl image is perfect. My best wishes and TFS.

Hello Doug
Although this isnt the picture that you are after it is still very very good indeed.
I have been trying to capture birds of prey in my area and I know just how hard it can be..they are so wary and unpredictable so I really appreciate the efforts your putting in.
I am sure that with patience you will get the picture that you want.
All the Best

hello Doug
i wish i had a in-flight shot of a owl like your shot,
excellent POV and framing, i love that good space
where the subject is fliying, i can see excellent sharpness
and details too, i see that you shooted at ISO200,
why you don't shoot them at ISO400 ?

Hello Doug,
A very nice capture of this Owl. Thats an another view of a flying bird. Normally you see a inflight at the head. This is something different. I like that. You have detached the owl well of the context. Super. The owl is very sharp. In spite of that you see the back of the owl, are there nevertheless well eye contact. Greetings and TFS BOB

Hello Doug
I really like these raptor shots flying over their domains.
The shots have a wonderful open feel to them.
Excellent colours and lighting. The cat tails add a nice accent to this image.
Wonderful POV and DOF.
