I found this spare moment to check out TN and look what I find! Great shot! You captured this owl in an excellent pose. The white works really well against the blue sky. Looks great!

(wish I had more time for pictures and TN... but such is life I guess)

Hi Asbed,

Wonderfully artistic shot, with this beautiful own photographed against a really nice sky. I wasn't sure about the reference to JPEGs and RAW - as RAW is generally better quality and handles difficult lighting conditions better than JPEGs. Is this a pacularity with your camera and the doubling of the range of your lens?

You should be happy with this flying Snowy Owl. You froze him in a wonderful position. The color of that sky is amazing and it shows him off so well. I love the composition with the owl in the upper right of the frame.

I come in from work..get the laptop out and this fantastic capture of yours is here to greet me..The cup of coffee can wait!!
It is no wonder that you are happy with this..I am happy that you took it and shared it with us.
The pose of the owl with such superb sharp details which are highlighted even more by the wonderfully rich blue sky is exemplary work and shows your skill as a photographer..I know that you dont have the luxury of 5 or 6 frames a second shooting on your camera which makes your shot so well timed.
This is one for my favourites without a doubt.
