It's so enjoying the different hues seen on the snow and on the bird's plumage.

Those are incredible eyes Lise. That's what hit me when I first opened this shot. I like the lighting on this bird, and on the snow giving you some nice shadow detail and great textures. The colour on the bird is quite good with all of the subtle shades transitioning from the black and white on his head to the dark brown and white and finally the light brown and white on his chest. Plumage detail is very good.

Very beautiful snowy owl image Lise.
Composition, sharpness, exposure and clarity are excellent.
Light and the way the white and brownish feathers of the owl do stand out against the light blue color tones of the snow.

This majestic predator looks like a fat, tame cat in this capture Lise, the beak is not very much in evidence but the eyes are. So a cattish expression, eh friend?
