[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Many Beavers live along the shore of the Highwood River , this one frequented this spot. I had seen him many times here . on this day I decided to wait him out , so I came early and sat in the large rocks on the bank. when I got this shot I was so close I could smell his wet fur. mostly the beavers in this area come out after dusk , when there is not enough light to get a decent picture, this photo has quite its share of noise in it , but enough resolution to safely reduce that and maintain good detail.

this photo was blurred by 1 point to reduce noise , resized and watermarked in Faststone Image Viewer.

Hello Art, this is a superb picture, we seldom see beavers with their tail out like this one. I like your picture, it's lively, natural and I too smelled the beaver's fur ;-) I used to work with Cree people and a woman brought us a beaver stew... ouh. Thank you for sharing with us your beautiful pictures, I visited your gallery and there are excellent shots in there. See you soon!

First of all, can I admit I'm jealous? Second of all, terrific photo. I love the texture of the wet fur, the tiny details of his paws, and how I can finally get a sense of his size. What I love most of all is that this beaver is where he belongs - free.

Hi art,
Wonderful shot of the beaver.Nice detail with the fur,paw and his tail. They are fun and relaxing to watch. All my best.
Cecile
