"CANADA GOOSE".

A dedication to my American Pal, Bob Shnnon, who saw them take-off to return "home".

I've written on this species a long time ago. So, I'm hoping you will forgive me if I don't repeat the info. on this, our, "CANADIAN" bird; however, its arrival into Canada, after its extensive HOLIDAY in the U.S., is a DELIGHTFUL PIECE OF NEWS for us. It means:

"WINTER IS ALMOST OVER".

P.S. You will notice that its beak is slightly messy; it was grazing. With neck raised and fully stretched it greeted me 'welcome' into its world. They were together, both, male & female. THIS IS THE MALE. They have come to 'home sweet home' to rest, feed, mate & raise their young after hundreds & hundreds of flight and sleepless hours all the way from the South of our border. Here, in Canada, nobody hurts or harms them. They, to us, Canadians, are a sign of BLISS. They are a MAGNIFICIENT lot.

You can see them both here. This slidecast has been dedicated to my BELOVED wife Bernardete. (Enjoy the music.)

Hi, dear Mario.
You managed to catch a very solid goose. Its pose and your framing are superb as well as the reproduction of all details of bird costume. I also like great DOF and sharp grass cover. It is so suitable for your photo model. What a nice surprise – harming video. I am impressed a lot as well as the touching dedication f the shot and of the movie. My hearty wishes to your charming wife and to you from our spring Odessa.
Yours Alexei.
P.S. Spring is only starts here.

Hello Mario,
They are indeed majestic birds, I too see them above my head this time of year as they are migrating Northward!
When the Canada goose was transferred to Scandinavia it quickly showed that this habitat was to their liking...
This is a well composed presentation with fine details in the plumage, good pose from the bird!
Greetings,
Pablo -
