moi c'est une espèce d'oiseau que j'aimes bien...

excellente luminosité surtout que quand l'on passe
de ma photo de silhouette à ta photo, belle douceur
dans les couleurs de la composition de ta photo,

Hi Claudine,

I just love these Waxwings and I have never seen a real one. A wonderful pose and lovely colors. I never realized they had the red on the wings and the yellow on the tail. It's a good thing your car window was opened or you would have missed this one.

Salut Claudine, il est beau le jaseur, c'est vraiment une des plus belles espèces d'oiseaux, tu as raison. et chanceuse de les voir, ici, je suis trop au nord. Ta photo est magnifique, comme d'habitude, et tellement lumineuse, avec ce beau ciel bleu. On ne peut demander mieux, c'est parfait à tous les points de vue, merci!

C'est vrai que c'est un très bel oiseau. Très bonnes composition et netteté. Superbe lumière et couleurs. Juste un détail, je trouve que le flou de la branche devant l'oiseau est un peu génant. Superbe ciel tout bleu.

What a solid and nice specimen you have pictured. Captured scene and vertical cropping are amazing as ell as wonderful rich colours and full of lights (natural a dn flash). You picture looks like painted by water paints. It is amazing effect. Well done and TFS.

It's always nice to see a new post from you!And this one especially looks like an oil masterpiece!I love the plumage that you've brought out so wonderfully well here.I've mentioned before that I've never seen anything like this bird in my life.And I got a pointer from someone to focus on the eye of the bird and I see how you've even brought out a 'glint' in the eye of this one (See? I'm learning!!)

What a proud looking fellow this one is and a beautiful one too.You caught him nicely as he could have easily been blocked behind the branch.Beautiful colours and backdrop of sky.You may have softened him up a bit too much and lost some of the detail but otherwise another gem.

I'm happy that you have captured this waxwing,a bird I know is one of your favorites and mine too.You have good details and colour working well for this capture and I know just how hard it is with these birds to get any sort of detail,unless you are standing on top of them that is.(For those of you who have never seen these birds for real,they really are very tough to get any sharp details of unless they are only a very short distance away or they will look pastel or watercolour painted and that includes the bohemian type as well).Thanks for sharing this lovely little waxwing and I hope to see the cedars back here in Alberta this summer. This one and the Bohemian are so colourful and fun to photograph.
This POV for you is very good Claudine.Sometimes it is difficult to get them so still and with perfect lighting.

Hi Claudine - This looks like Deja vu ;)
Excellent all the around. It does have a different look with flash.
I've found it more difficult to shoot birds using ambient light, but the results do look more natural without it. Also, you can achieve more of a 3D effect, adding a sense of depth to the image sans flash..
But the time of day and lights direction is crucial for success.
I guess that's the downside.

Very nice shot of this Cedar Waxwing. Exceptionally sharp and with wonderful details. Love the rich colours and fine exposure. A real beauty!!
We have these birds visit our backyard every year, but they seem to always perch very high in the tree tops. It's not easy to get a closeup because they are always hiding in the leaves.

The texture and appearance of the feathers makes one want to try to touch it.
It seems to be so soft and smooth.
I like the good light and that clear blue sky at the background.
You've got very good details and the colours at the tip of the tail/wings really stands out from the picture.
