"BROWN CLIPPER".

This species brings back BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES!!!

Should you not like the slidecast I'm confident you'll enjoy the MUSIC. This slidecast has been dedicated to my late brother Michael who passed away in Sydney, Australia. He worked many, many years for Air India International. He too loved butterflies. However, this image is dedicated to young 18 year old Arjun from Bangalore, India.

As a young boy growing up in Goa, India I used to play with this butterfly in the large forest behind our home in Mapusa, in Bardez. They were all over the place. This is over 65 years ago. I remember it all as if it took place only yesterday. Whoever heard of a camera in those wild wild days living in the wilderness. They were, perhaps, the best years of my childhood.

Here are some lovely specimens:

CLIPPER by Heinz Koloska from GERMANY.

And, by Janice Dunn from New Zealand.

Hi Mario

Ha-ha-ha, sorry, but I had to giggle at Bob's forthright critique. Well obviously he appreciated this shot and so do I.

Nice crispy sharp details accompanied by joyful colours and the one butterfly seemingly eyeing the other one with apparent intent makes one think that spring is in the air in the Northern hemisphere. I am of the opinion though that the composition could benefit with a bit of cropping by getting rid of the notice and the bright area in the BG. I am sure this would make a great difference to the shot. Unfortunately I am out of workshops for the day, but I don't think it is that important just to show you that as the rest of the shot is pretty neat. I like the colours and the POV looking into the scene.

Well done MF and TFS.
Regards
Loot
