Love it Bob. I always love these ladies and their special "hair" but this one is really great Great capture. I wish we had as varied wildlife where we live.

Hi Bob,
Looks like the Merganser did use the wrong hair gel that morning, or did'nt have a mirror to look in to........lol.
Wonderful shot with the head feathers standing right up.
Very good exposure due to wich the feather details are lovely.
Also like the color contrast and catchlight in the eye very much.
Personally would have cropped a part of top and bottom to make this image a horizontal one, but that's just my opinion ofcourse.

That is windy and it looks cold too! This picture made me smile, it is unique and so funny. The hairdo of this Mrs. Merganser is all over the place. I love the close-up and the effect of the long lens on the perspective in the water. It's great, with the light and the many waves. superb picture Bob, thanks again,

Hello Bob,
I saw a few older gentlemen with their combovers doing this. Nice comical type image Bob, with great colors and focus. Sounds like a busy place. Thanks for sharing Sir.

Bob, What a hilarious photo of this merganser! I always think of them as "punk ducks" and this punk did her hair wrong that morning! Just a great moment you have captured.
