Lors de ma première rencontre avec ce pic au même endroit, j'ai trouvé que c'était un oiseau très impressionant en terme de grosseur.
Photo très nette avec de beaux détails, magnifiques couleurs.

Ah, une très belle photo de ce grand pic prise au Boisé Papineau. Wow Roger, c'est réussi. Le simple fait d'en approcher un est un exploit en soit et de le photographier si bien relève par contre du talent. L'arrière plan est superbe, l'éclairage aussi et comme on le voit bien. La photo du workshop est bonne aussi, à cause du moment, le cri, c'est impressionnant. Cependant, je préfère celle-ci. Merci beaucoup et prenez plein de marches, ça vaut le coup! Je suis supposée aller au Boisé Papineau aussi avec Asbed, j'aimerais bien rencontrer ce grand pic. Merci encore,

Very beautiful capture of this wonderful Woodpecker.
Technically perfect with excellent composition, sharpness, DOF and exposure.
Most wonderful feather details and great color contrast between the B&W of the feathers, the soft color tones in the BG and the very beautiful red colors on the head and yellow of the eye.
A real joy to look at.

et WOW ! je suis sans MOT, tout est parfait dans tes images,
comme on s'étaient déjà parlés ma préféré est la photo
où le Grand Pic lance son cri, AOUTCH, superbe image,
par le POV et le cadrage, par la belle luminosité,
par l'excellent détails du plumage, et par le superbe timing
d'avoir shooter la photo le Grand Pic lançant son cri

et j'espère que d'ici quelques jours tu posteras celle
que tu m'a envoyé en courriel où l'on voit les détails
juqu'à dans les trous de l'arbre que le Grand Pic à fait

encore merci Roger, ma limite de 100 photos favoris étant remplis
j'ai crée un thème et je fait de cette photo la première de ce thème

Excellent light and sharp details on this pileated woodpecker!
What a great POV of this impressive bird.
It must have been a thrill to see this big guy doing his thing on the tree.
Does he seem to come back to the same spot all the time?

Very good capture of this great woodpecker. Reminds me of the large Black Woodpecker which is quite common in Northern Europe but missing from the UK. Very impressive, good POV, composition and good sharpness.

Hi Roger, very excellent close detail seen on this Pileated Woodpecker, both here and in the workshop. This is a very good natural pose in his environment. Your timing with him on the trunk with his head back is perfect.
