Today after work I had an opportunity to get out and visit the same area of yesterday's photo shoot with the eagles.I came across this cheerful chap singing on a tree branch in the direct sun light and right at eye level to me.It doesn't happened often that I get a house finch out in the open like this most welcome little fellow but he obliged me me by allowing an even ten shots of him before he flew off.I also saw and photoed a golden eye duck, cooper's hawk and a few common male mergansers ,sorry to say that I didn't see the eagles this time out. I hope you like my first house finch of this year,I didn't get fooled today.PP was done with Paint.Net. Bob

Hello Bob, I'm glad a monster didn't pop out from behind you! You live an adventurous life it seems by going and taking your wildlife pictures. It shows that you are not in a zoo or a private park built up for wildlife and that you strive to get the pictures. Your pictures always portray wildness and unexpected encounters. This is a very nice one and peculiar with the wall of rock just behind the tree, acting as a background which is quite original. And the colours are all harmonious throughout, from the branch, the rock and even the bird except for the reddish chest. Thank you for this glimpse in wildness, the bird is a pretty looking one,

Hello Bob,
Beautful shot.
Excellent POV and DOF.
Good focus, sharpness and details.
Good colors ad contrasts.
Beautiful lighting.
Thanks for the share,
Smitha.

aha...you have a Senor Rojo too! :)
Mine is a cardinal.
This is a great shot with good details and a great straight on pov.
What a lovely color to the birdie! :)

I love these little guys. Great work catching one near eye level and rendering its colours well. I find that I've only been able to catch them above my head which leads to a much lesser photo.
