"BACTRIAN CAMEL". ( ENDANGERED SPECIES.)
Lissa Bruce of TN (Leace) has posted "Camel-Profile". Her notes are detailed. They are adapted to live in rocky, arid plains & hills. Their thick fur and underwool insulates them from extreme temperature variations ranging from -30*C in winter to +60*C - +70*C in summer. Bactrian camels were domesticated about 4,500 years ago in Bacteria near what is now Turkmenia and Northern Iran, where they are still plentiful. Only a few live in the wild in Northwestern China and Southwestern Mongolia. They mostly feed on shrubs and grasses. Their tough mouths allow them to eat thorny desert plants. They can go without water for months but when water is available they may drink up to 57 liters at once.
To read more about this 2 humped ancient beast and see more images please see it here.
I was fortunate enough to capture them while they were "mating", A ONE IN A MILLION SHOT. You can see them here as #s 1, 2, 3, and 4.
And finally DO YOU WANT A KISS???

Hello Mario,
Hope all is well with you and your family, good to see you are still posting. Very nice image of this camel you have here, Nice colour, detail and good textures. The crop is a little tight but a minor nit.
Warm regards,
Adrian
You always have a fine presentation with all sorts of things to learn. It is like a museum of play things for adults to push click and go to see more..this is how I like to do it as well.. A fine image Mario from the cooler north but not so cool as winter:-)
Bob
Hello Mario,
This is a fine portrait of your furry friend!
Good profile capture, sharp fine details and fine colour reproduction...
The tight framing works well with me, and the camel seems to be a happy guy!
Greetings,

Hi, dear Mario.
Wonderful shot of cute animal. Excellent sharpness of the head and plenty tiny attractive details. Exposure is great too as well as the suitable colours. Well done and kind regards.
Yours Alexei from still rainy Odessa :)))
