[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello everyone today I have a photo I have entitled "Preeet!"

This is a photo of a pair of common goldeneye ducks,a male and female. The capture was taken on the "Superman Slough" which is still mostly ice covered as I type this note.Preeet!,what is Preeet well that is sort of the sound the male goldeneye makes when he throws his head back to impress and attract the female of the species. If you or I were to try to do the same as the duck we would both be in for a trip to a hospital as the whiplash would be severe! It is kinda comical to watch the male throw his head to his back in the way he does it and every time he goes preeet! The little female was interested indeed and soon swam off with him. While this was going on I noticed a couple of other male goldeneyes beating up on each other a short distance aways and they sure were nasty with one another as they took turns literally jumping on each other and so it goes for yet another year in the lives of goldeneye ducks; ducks like these ones are never boring to watch and are lovely looking as well.PP was done with Paint.Net. I hope you like "Preeet!",I only wish you could hear how it sounds. Bob

Hello Bob

A lovely capture of these two goldeneyes.
The mating ritual and dance of these ducks is wonderful to watch.
Excellent low POV and lovely rich colours.
Well composed in the frame.

Hello Bob,

Very nice shot of these pair of Goldeneyes.
Indeed would love to hear the sound of that call.
Love the composition with the riples on the water surface at the lower part and enough space on top for the duck to call in to.
Clarity, colors and details are most wonderful and you've done an excellent job on sharpnes and exposure.
Very good note also. TFS!!!

Best wishes,

Harry

Hi Bob,
Preeet is a nice representation of what is that bird. Colours are beautiful and the timing special and characteristic of that period of the year.

Hello Bob,
You have captured what I think is one of the great things about spring. I could watch these guys all day. Sometimes several males will all be doing this trying to woo one female and she swims away from them all, hilarious, Fantastic image Bob, thanks for sharing.
