Hi Michel , a lovely photo of this cardinal , the color details are great , the field depth and focus are nice too , also how it is perched cupped in the branches really directs the eye with a little added dominance.

Très belle photo de ce cardinal. Les couleurs sont exactes et bien saturé. Le détail et la composition de la photo est parfaite. Le rouge est une couleurs difficile à contrôler mais dans cette photo tu as bien réussi, il n'y a pas de surexposition.

I have never seen cardinals in nature, only from documentary films and photograps. I like to see them in future. They are very popular birds on TN and from American continent as like Old World's robins and sparrows. C'est une très belle capture de ce bel oiseau! Les couleurs sont vibrantes et naturelles dans une excellente composition avec un beau background et contact des yeux! Ici, ils chantent du matin au soir et c'est très agréable à entendre, pas mal plus que les cris des Quiscales que je n'aime pas et qui ont envahis le voisinage :)

Ce cardinal rouge sur la branche est impressionnant. la prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'oiseau. Le sujet est bien cadré. La lumière a un bekl effet sur les couleurs. Bonne journée.

Hi Michel,

You've submitted a very pleasing shot of a male Northern Cardinal. I've taken a few photos of cardinals, but none for some time -- because we haven't been putting out feeding stations for a couple of years. Your photo is very clear, showing the difference between his wing coloring and that of his body. He appears to be quite plump like some photos I have taken. Either the food is particularly good and plentiful, or he's just hunkered down on a bright but coolish day in March. TFS.
