Hello, when i saw this Grey Squirrel in this position
at the tree trunk i questioned myself, did i shoot
my image with all the body of the squirrel
or only his head's part, i decided to go with
the second option including in the image his feet

this photo was shot at the nature park

The eastern grey squirrel spends most of its life in trees,
where it moves about with great agility. When it comes
to the ground to feed or store food in hiding places
to eat later, it also has great mobility and can reach
speeds of up to 25 km per hour. In climbing or descending
a tree trunk it moves head first, and when danger threatens
it sidles inconspicuously around the trunk of the tree,
keeping just out of sight of the predator. Another protective
device is to remain motionless against the bark,
which makes the animal difficult to see. »

Hello Asbed,
You certainly show the agility of the grey squirrel in this shot of it upside-down on a tree trunk.
Gaught with fine sharpness and excellent composition in a natural environment.

Is there a slight fill flash used here or is it all sunlight? the image is very well lit all throughout giving clarity to all parts. Very well done Asbed. Tell me about the lighting you used and perhaps whether you were on a horizontal with the squirrel or at an angle and were able to adjust.

Nice close-up Asbed with good detail, color, and light..
Reading your notes on their defense mechanisms reminds of how the fox squirrels react to my dogs..They just lay down on the branch & freeze most times.
