hello, this photo was shot with my other compact digital camera,
i am just adding it to my profile, this is at the nature park
where is the pond of the wood ducks, yesterday i was
writting to Bob (eqshannon) that at that nature park
many places the snow is melted and we have little ponds,
you can found at that many places the mallard ducks
and in the main pond there are the wood ducks

but little by little many of that places are driying
like this place too will be dried soon and the mallards
will go at the main pond, this morning at the main pond
i counted 4 couples of Wood ducks, and you can found
the mallards at many other places of the nature park,
they are few hybrids of mallards-black ducks too,
this photo was shot in the afternoon

this photo was shot in JPEG and ISO 100

here is a link on the Mallard Ducks

Wow...I had to look for Waldo!?! This is one neat shot...and I really mean this...it is pleasing int eh way you have composed it along with the way in which nature created it to be seen. I mean seriously...it would have been a good landscape...but the aviary in the hiding image! Wow! Your my hero today Asbed!

Hi Asbed,

How in the world did you even spot this Mallard? She certainly is well camouflaged and yet she stands out so sharply. The trees are wonderful too and create an excellent composition.

Hi Asbed,
what an interesting looking photo of the female mallard hiding inside the tree, most unique! The composition is very good and the stillwater gives great reflections .A sharp and well balanced photo and one that is a delight to see. Thanks for sharing something that is unusual. Bob

Hello Asbed. Nicely perched on that curved bark and yes almost camouflaged with the color of the trunk. Excellent light in this composition in pleasant natural habitat. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hello Asbed,
Super shot of this Mallard in the tree. Very interesting scene, well composed, and with sharp details. Lucky duck, she has a tree house! Tfs Richard

Hi Asbed, nice capture of this hiding Mallard. Besides the duck, I like the environment you are shooting here too. This would be an amazing area to come to look for photos. Detail and colour are very good, the composition with the hiding duck works very well.

Thanks, John

Merci!

Francine

Ah ha, i saw the mallard, and wonder if thats where it live. Nice composition.

Asbed,

That's the last place I'd look for a Mallard ! This is a very interesting and unique picture. I can tell you've been photographing birds for a while to be able to pick that one out of the 'woodwork'. Very nicely done!

Best Regards,

Martin

How did you spot it?
It doesn't seem to stand out! It looks like a part of this tree! There is a striking resemblence between the duck's plumage and the bark. Well spotted and well shot!
Regards, Rafal

Hello Asbed,
Splendid shot of this camouflaged Miss Mallard with superb DOF and lighting.
Great composition.
TFS.
Cheers,
Bayram

Hello Asbed
This is a bit comical, I've never seen a duck hiding in the cave of a tree before. I guess there is a first for everthing. A wonderful capture.
TFS Janice

Boy, that just seems made for her, doesn't it? The sharpness is fantastic, and one thing I noticed is how well she blends into the environment. With that little camera, you did a terrific job!

Salut Asbed,

Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

And very well camouflaged she is Asbed..
I like the sepia look, and the dense wooded environment here mf.
There are many time I missed a shot without camera, the compact has its place.
Well done,
Howard
