This is a female of the species. It is a fast flyer; was not easy to register it. It sat but for a moment & I was ready. Truely, this is an interesting butterfly.

What a stroke of good for you Mario...a kind man of 80 plus who has lived in many places and seen things few have seen, yet still sends these wonderful images of things which most folks overlook or never have seen. You are a GEM!

We have rainy weather again and I am very pleased to watch captured by you beauty at convenient nature conditions. Excellent exposure of the dark insect and so good sharpness and details. Cropping is cool. However, I do not know weather it is the best. My best wishes to you and your charming wife.

There is a fine colour and beautiful pattern in the wings!
Not so colourful as many but the shades of blue is very attractive...
