Hello, i decide to come again with a photo
shooted with a compact digital camera,
my other compact with 5 megapixels, at ISO 100

from the Hinterland Who's Who website
here is a little text on the Mallard Ducks :

http://www.ffdp.ca/hww2.asp?id=54&cid=7

« Habitat and habits

Mallards are one of the first ducks to arrive back
on the breeding grounds in spring. They are adaptable
and may nest near a lake, pond, river, or even woodland pool.
Their preferred habitats, however, are the natural grasslands
that surround little reed-ringed sloughs, or marshy areas,
and potholes on the prairies. »

Thanks for viewing and critiques

Hi Asbed,

I love your title!! And, female that she is, she is ignoring him. Good for her. (I hope I got the sexes right.) Nice shot of the Mallards and a wonderful setting.

Hola Asbed.
Great image of this two Ducks. Excellent moment here You catch. Looks like that the female dosent want to konw nothing abut her boy friend.
Saludos
Luis52.

they are a fine looking pair and these species have been my favourite canards. The image is especially sharp without looking too sharp. Not sure if that sounds right..I may have to devise some new words...In a strange way it reminds me of my wife and I right now..I am up and about and she is more or less felling under the weather still. but not looking for food!:-)

Hello Asbed. Gorgeous shiny head and you are right about the beauty. The lady's head is in the water probably not as beautiful as her partner :-). Nice capture in serene lake atmosphere. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hello Asbed,
Nice sharp shot of a Mallard drake and his busy mate ( I like the title!). The lighting and composition are great. This shot has a high standard for a compact and thanks for sharing it.
Best regards, Ivan
