hello, for my new postings i was decided to post
a male and then a female of mallard ducks,
but yesterday night i had a suprise by e-mail,
my TN friend Roger (RP1) send me an image of me

Roger shoot me again in photo without i noticed that
i was taken in image, he could do a excellent paparazzi (lol),
go see that image in the Workshop, i was watching
this beautiful couple of perched Wood Ducks

and i find an excellent link on birds, i will do a pleasure
to my other great TN Friend Bob (eqshannon),
it is the website of « Learn about the birds of Washington state »,
maybe Bob you already kno this website

and from that website here is a text on the wood ducks,
for the complete text go see this webpage :

« When and Where to Find in Washington

Wood Ducks are common breeders from March
through August in lowlands west of the Cascades.
In eastern Washington, they are uncommon in the
central Columbia Basin, but found more commonly
in the lowlands, especially along major river valleys
in northeastern Washington. In winter, they are uncommon,
but still present in some areas west of the Cascades,
and wintering numbers appear to be increasing. »

thanks for viewing and critiques

Hi Asbed,

I will never tire of seeing these wood ducks up in the tree! Both are posing nicely - they must be looking at something. Lovely colors and sharp details - I love the eyes. Good looking guy in the workshop! Great shot of you in one of my favorite poses - looking up.

Jane

Hmmmm. I have a couple sites and I know of Mallard Canards but so far I cannot post one sparrow becuase I can't find out which kind it is on any book or site...
Your ducks in trees is Tres cool Asbed... and roger out spotting you is also very much fun to hear. I am also considered the papa-photo guy around everywhere I go....I have a few images of birds which normally do not belong in trees...well at least they don't spend enough time there for me to catch...this one is particularly shapr and colourful...and the deuce! Cannot beat that one...fine eye there Asbed..and watch out ...we shall have to put out a amber alert for you..roger is stalking you:-)))))

Hi Asbed

Great composition - the arching branch spanning the frame uses the frame well - good detail in the ducks too.

A wonderful capture Asbed!
I love the composition on the curved branch, the pose, lighting, contrast with the light natural OOF BG and the sharpness of the main subject is excellent so that the two Wood Ducks stand out well.
Well done my friend and thanks for sharing this beauty.

Hi Asbed, great focus on splendid couple with fantastic colors and good details, excellent sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Bellissima composizione con questo ramo curvo che sembra un ponte dove passeggia la coppia di anatre, ottimo POV, molto buona la nitidezza e molto belli i colori. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hello Asbed,
Father and mother in the tree, a nice pair of ducks.
Are the ducks also breeding in the trees?

Gert

hello Asbed,

This really surprised me as I have never seen ducks in a tree before! Their feet are not really designed for holding on to branches!

Good pov and escellent details of these 'squirrel' ducks!
The arched branch makes for a good composition!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
p.s Like the w/s!

Salut Asbed,
Très belle prise de vue de ces canard branchu. Très spécial de les voire ensemble sur la branche. La femelle s'apprête à retourner dans la niche.
Merci,
Roger

Hi Asbed,
A nice picture of a couple of Wood Ducks.
Pretty good sharpness with fine details.
Well done with the exposure, not easy to shoot against the sky.
Well done.

Hello Asbed,
You've captured this beautiful pair really well and from a fine point of view! I like the way they've both turned their heads the same way. Great sharpness and natural colours. I like the bending branch and the light background too. Well done!
Many thanks, Ulla

Francine
