"CANADA GOOSE SUN BATHING".

I've gone close to a Canada goose but never as close as this time. It was a warm SUNNY day. And, this one came to the heated asphalt to get warmed up. I kept clicking & clicking and each time getting closer and closer to it. This portrait was taken at a distance of 1 foot away from the bird. IT WAS SO RELAXED. I could have "touched" it. But, I dared not. It can inflict a nasty wound if and when bothered too much.

Here you can see my experiences with this species in #s 1, and 2.

These two were looking for a nesting sight by the river.

And, this one is sharing its quarters with a beaver in a beaver pond.

Bravo, Mario.
Wonderful shot of Canada goose. Simply great sharpness, details and colours of the bird. It pose is so attractive, POV is unusual and interesting, DOF is great. Note and other illustrations are wonderful too. My best wishes from still rainy Odessa.

Hello Mario

Yes, the sunny sun gives a great lighting and good details on the plumage.I like the way it has spread its relaxed wings.
