He's buried in the water and I wonder what is under his feet?!:-) Is it mud? Perhaps some sort of gravel or stone. Do they have nerves in their feet? I do but the connection between my feet and my brain is gone so I have what is called neuropathy of the feet...I frequently go out in winter with no socks and Birkenstock's...that's what some folks actually call me...but not this duck...He seems pretty happy in the full sun and surely crystal clear..Nice image!

Hi Asbed , of the birds that I have managed to photo , the male mallard is one of the harder , they have such a fine silkiness about them that detail is hard to capture. you have done a very good job of this one , with good detail and color. TFS

Hola Asbed.
Bellos colores del Pato. Me agrada la pose y sobre todo los colores en verde de su cabeza.
Muy hermosa foto Asbed.

Asbed,

Judging by its expression it looks like you've been spotted just as you were taking this shot :) One would think that Mallards would be used to people since they spend so much time at local parks taking food from people BUT, it is not the case. I find them very shy and they will always fly away at first site of a human. Unfortunately, not all people have good intentions, thus the instincts. You've done very well here. Great work.

Best Regards,

Martin

LOL! Talk about a happy duck! If I didn't know better, I'd say that catchlight is actually a twinkle of fun in his eye. You really captured his details, especially the colors. What I really give credit for (besides the excellent sharpness) is that although this was taken in bright sunlight, you managed a fabulous job of the colors not getting hot. Congratulations!

Helloo Asbet, I bet this wasnt an easy shot and the colour combinations in here would have worked a tad difficult for you.But ou managed to get a clean shot with the catchlight on its eyesVery well done.

Hi Asbed

Nice capture of this male mallard in very strong light. I like the sheen you have captured on his feathers and his alert posture.

Hi Asbed,

He's not in a tree! This Mallard is in the water where I would expect to see him. A very nice close-up with wonderful colors that are almost irridescent. Good details of the face and plummage. I love the pose and he seems to be smiling for the camera.

Hello Asbed,
Splendid profile shot in some great light. The details are great but the color you have captured is what really makes this image pop. Thank you for sharing this image my friend.

Hi Asbed.
You managed to catch an amazing specimen of the duck. Its pose as well as your POV are great. I am impressed with huge details and rich colours of the bird and scenery. Exposure of the image is great too. Well done and TFS.
Alexei.

Bonjour mon ami,
quelle jolie photo aux couleurs vives et naturelles, très bien exposée et parfaitement composée.
le reflet aurait peut-être aussi été intéressant ?
En tous cas un joli moment nature,
bravo
