Hello, first i have to tell that my CeltickRanger name
come from my 2 pointing dogs, Celtick who has 10 years old
and his son Ranger who has 3 years old

and today i am sad (aujourd'hui je suis triste), Celtick is on
veterinian hospital, he has a cyst on his back skin, i decided
to remove that by surgery, so i leaved there Celtick but they
told me that Celtick has a hart problem (souffle au coeur)
and during the surgery he can close hes eyes forever,
i just want to go take him wednesday his eyes wide open...

since the last months and specially the last weeks
i knewed that i will bring Celtick for that surgery,
i said myself it will cost a couple of hundred $$$$,
oh no, it wil cost me much much more, just in consultation
and little exam of that cyst it coast me almost
a couple of hundred $$$$

today my dream of buying a D-SLR went,
my dog pass before the camera, i was decided to buy
the Pentax K200D because it is protected againts the water,
the budget that i had for the D-SLR went to Celtick's surgery

today i decide to post this image, shot in the summer of 2006
with my little FUJI 3 megapixels compact digital camera,
and i hope one day i will do some shots with an D-SLR...
and even shoot in photo with that D-SLR my old Celtick...

Hi Asbad,

I feel so sorry for you and I know just how you feel. My Cocker Spaniel had cancer and each time he went in for surgery I sat home and cried - just praying he would survive. I hope Celtick is okay - and I wish you the fourteen wonderful years I had with Sammi. My heart goes out to you. And your are right - a DSLR is nowhere as important as your dog. A beautiful Mallard in flight - wonderful colors and a nice reflection. But my thoughts are with you and the dog more than on the photo. Good luck my friend.

Jane

Hi Asbed,
I also feel bad now! Because I know this feeling my friend! Your capture is wonderful with reflections on the water surface. TFS and also good lucks for D-SLR. Cheers,
Bayram

Asbed,

I am sorry to hear about your best companions. You've shown great heart for nature in all your previous posts and your actions now totally prove it. I admire you for this decision. Hang in there, bad times always pass and those ones will as well. DSLRs are great but they cannot compare to our 4 legged friends. Wishing you all the best.

Martin

well that tugged my heart for sure Asbed. the story alone is a man speaking of his heart...and revealing his true spirit and love for nature.....My thoughts are with you and I know you picked the right image for this day....I will be thinking of you tonight!
Bob

Oh dear !
It was touching to go through your notes; unfortunately this is the truth of life. Our pets our very much part of our family. To see them in distress is painful & to loose them is a great sorrow. I do agree with Jane, Bob & Martin. They leave a permanent mark on you. However Celtick has left his son (who is carrying 50% body cells of his father, so one way your Celtick is very much alive scientifically). God bless & cherish every moment with your Ranger & new D-SLR.
Best wishes-Dr Subhash Ranjan

Hello Asbed,
I know how it is to be attached to a dog and I hope Celtic gets better and is with you for some time yet.
Your inflight of a female Mallard is taken from a great POV showing the violet sheen of the wing patch and the composition and reflection in the water are great.
An attractive image and thanks for sharing it.
All the best, Ivan

Hi Asbed. You have one more person here who wishes you sympathy for Celtic.I know the feeling well from my past two dogs.
They are family.I am sure he will be fine.
Even though this is a bit out of focus, the colourings and compo are good.
I can imagine it is difficult trying the in flight without a DSLR.
Keep them coming!

Hello Asbed. Nice shot in a taking off position. Nice reflection and looking good against the blue background. Well done. Jusni

Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hello Asbed,

My dear friend, I'm sorry to hear about your dog, and yet
I also was wondering how you got that TN name, mine Demeve
is actually very simple is my name Everton De Melo, De Me Ve.
The picture is well composed and well framed, great
colors and sharpness, a very nice POV.. Well done

Everton

Bonjour Asbed,
Je dedie ce smiley a Celtick et j'espere qu'il s'en sortira , encore pour quelques années,
Bon courage

Hi Asbed,
Sorry to hear about Celtick. I also have a 10 year old dog that is not in the best of health. It sounds like you love your dog very much..
That love will pay better dividends than a new DSLR, without a doubt.
Besides, you can always get a new camera down the road. But Celtick you only have once.
Howard

Hi Asbed, best wishes for Celtic, thanks for this splendid flying duck with amazing reflections, fantastic colors, fine details and excellent sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Salut Asbed,
excellente photo avec un très beau reflet, j'aime bien aussi le POV arrière qui montre ses plus belles plumes,
bravo
amitiés,
Pat

Hello Asbed

I recently had my sheltie pass away.He was 12 years old and sat at my feet while I was at the computer.I understand how you feel.
This is a lovely in flight capture of this lady mallard.
The pose is very nice and you placed it well in the frame.
Very good pov.
TFS
