Just a wonderful shot of this Bufflehead Duck, superb detail in the plumage, good eye detail, love those ripples on the water really gives that sense of motion, and the light is wonderful, lovely work mate,

Hi Bob
This is a beautiful shot of this wonderful Bufflehead Duck. Excellent detail especially in the colors in the face and neck which are sometimes hard to see. I posted a picture of a ring-neck Duck while ago and until I finally got a good picture of one I always wondered why they called it ring-neck because I could never see the rust colored ring around their neck. You did a great job in capturing the colors in this one. And I like the broken reflection in the silky blue water. Very nice,Bob

This is a very clear shot. I like the iridescence on the head.The little droplets are a bonus too.
I rarely see these one going at it. Must have been a sight.

Hi Bob, I've never seen one of these ducks, only pictures, and this is one of the better ones yet. I like the whole sequence of shots you took, but this is the closest showing the great colour on the duck (I thought they were black and white), and the great detail. Positioning in the frame is good, with great texture and colour from that water.

Ahhh, this is a lovely little fellow, so good looking in his black and white dress!
The subject is well exposed with fine details in the plumage, and as all ducks he looks happy spring has arrived...
The calm water makes a fine background, a lovely distorted reflection!

Hi Bob - this duck has a rather smug look on his face...did he win the fight? Such a beautifully colored head it has! This is a stunning capture - great reflection, ripple action and drops all over its head that gives us the rest of the story of the tussle. Well done!
