[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
“Old Ice” is the name of this photo. This iceberg came from the Greenland glacier which may be 100,000 years old. It took approximately seventeen years to arrive near St. John’s. There are over 820 icebergs around this year which is a twenty year record. It is great for photographs and sightseeing.
9/10 of the iceberg is underwater which makes it a massive size. The Titanic was no match for these bulky objects.
Presently most ships go south away from iceberg alley.
