Description: Cet oiseau a un bec gros, fort et large et de couleur blanc jaunâtre. Il a le dessus de la tête noir et le front jaune. Son cou et le haut du dos sont olive brunâtre foncé, devenant jaune. Il a de grandes taches blanches sur les ailes. Sa queue est noire et ses pattes brunes.

Nourriture: Le Gros-bec errant mange surtout les graines des cônes d’épinette, de sapin baumier et de pin, mais il apprécie également les graines et les fruits de nombreux arbres feuillus et arbrisseaux.
Il est particulièrement avide des larves et des chrysalides de la tordeuse des bourgeons de l’épinette. On pense aussi que les parents nourrissent leurs petits de celles-ci.
Aux mangeoires, son aliment préféré est la graine de tournesol, il en mange une quantité considérable.

Hi Josep,

This is a very good shot. Image qualiti is excelent. First of all I like the way you rendered the light. Lighted and sadowed areas give volume to the wooden branch and bird. Also it is the way you got the light that makes color tones from your photo look natural. DOF is very good enabling the viewer to see even the fine details of birds plumage. Very good composition too with the blurry background enhacing main subject clarity.
