High Waters

Hi Folks , today I have this Canadian Beaver , very strange for me to find one at the time of day that I did , it is more normal that thay only come out towards night time , and are well done their chewing duties before dawn.
only thought that I have as to why it is out at this time is that its lodge became flooded out. It is well in to spring thaw and the highwood river is running swift and high right now. in a beaver lodge there are compartments , always one for sleeping , some have one for eating too. if the river raises too high it can flood these compartments rendering the lodge uninhabitable. or with the changing water level over the past few days its lodge could have been eroded off the side of the bank , the bank of the river washes away quite quickly when the river is so high.
thinking that this poor fella was likely homeless I only dogged him for a few pictures then moved on.
hope you like it.
Regards

Hello Art,
A good image of this Beaver, some good detail but I think it's a little underexposed. Easily remedied in software though. I like the composition and good depth of field too. An interesting note, I too wouldn't want to think the poor fella is homeless.
Regards,
Adrian
