Fred (the orange beak ) has been with this Canada goose for a few months now down at the local duck pond , I have not seen any off spring as yet ,but I am hoping to see some soon .
Just for the record I did not name him Fred ,a couple of nice ladies who feed him at lunch time did . He is the only one of his kind at the pond and is a fair bit bigger than the others. Not to mention that he has some bright orange feet too :) |

Hi Randy , this is a very nice portrait of these two 'love birds' what a fascinating coupling. perhaps just a touch soft on the Canadian goose , I think that with your exposure listed you could have stopped down your aperture a bit to extend your field depth.
still a good photo with good detail and color . TFS

Randy,
This is an interesting image. Although it shows a rather common sight found at many of our local parks, you captured it in a different way. I like how you composed this picture. I've always thought that the most common birds are most difficult to capture in an interesting way. Very nice work.
BTW, I don't know what Fred's ID is but I have seen a few birds like this one in London.
Best Regards,
Martin
I'm 1 of the ladies that named Fred......
Randy have you seen him anywhere ??
I have not seen Fred in over 3 weeks I wonder where he might be? If you see him let me know
Susie..........I have quite a few pictures of Fred if anyone is interested......
