Hi All,
Today while out exploring the changes in our area that have occurred while we were gone on our trip. We found the prairie a lovely green from the recent rains. The spring flowers adding a splash of color and fragrance, the mating birds with their songs and bright plummage. We also spotted a pronghorn in a cultivated field and to our pleasant surprize she had twin newborns. From experience I knew Mom would make the babes lay down and then try to lead us away. We took just a few images then left so not to stress Mom or the newborns too much. These little ones will be running with Mom in a very few hours but for now stealth is the word, they don't move a muscle when your near, even their breathing is undetectable. In this image you can see both twins even when you know where they are they are hard to see. Have a great day.

Hi Rick,
Wonderful shot of these twins and you have made me learn something new today. Great faking behaviour and they look so cute. Very neat and sharp image with perfect lighting. You low POV gives the image an added punch and you show the beautiful horizon so well. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Rick

Greetings from Jasper National Park.

Wow - real TN stuff here - the low POV and inclusion of the horizon really makes this shot for me.

James

Hi Rick,
it is so nice to see these innocent newborns and see that the species is secure for yet another year.I like your low point of view and it is well chosen as many would hover over them and that for them must even be more frightening, but you have the right amount of respect and did not stay with them for too long. The details are well focused and the use of f/11 works well for this pair. That wide open eye is sure is an attention getter.I like this one very much and thank you for sharing this view. Hello Rick,
Welcome back!
You did well to spot these camouflaged Pronghorn kids as they lie low and this low POV capture is great on this ploughed field. Excellent sharpness and fine BG perspective.
A fine image and thanks for sharing it Rick!

Hello Rick,

What a find!
Superb notes to accompany this excellent shot!
I am so glad I persevered because this looked quite uninteresting on the thumbnail but ... your title intrigued me!
Your low pov gives an excellent impression of how well camourflaged these little babes are. Excellent details and good composition.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Really cool shot, Rick :)
Well done and TFS

Hi Rick,

How lucky to come across the Mom Pronghorn and her twins. They are so well cammouflaged that it took me a while to find the second one. Interesting notes so we understand the positions. The main subject is beautiful - the wonderful face with that eye!!!! Excellent colors, details and textures of his coat. The composition is superb showing the prairie and the horizon.

Hello Rick,
Excellent photo. Most of all I like the POV. Through that you could make a wonderful composition of this scene. Technically very good.

This is a fascinating picture Rick, absolutely touching and beautiful. It is incredible how these two little animals are flattened to the ground and as you say, so hard to see. I'm amazed and touched by this "life in the prairie" you show us today, simple yet lively and so intense. Thanks a lot my friend!
