| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Ducks most often nest in grassy hollows or in marshes. Sometimes the nests are built in tree cavities. A clutch, or group of eggs will usually consist of five to twelve eggs. After an incubation period of three to four weeks, the baby ducklings hatch. In just a few hours they are able to run and swim!
The main enemies of young ducks and duck eggs are raccoons, skunks, foxes, crows, gulls, and snapping turtles. Human beings are also a threat to ducks. Water pollution causes habitat loss and poisoning. |

Hi Ziggy, nice to see some Ducks from good ole' Mississauga.
Excelent work, good to have you back.
Mike
Very nicely seen Ziggy, could do with a fraction more space at the bottom for them to swim into, other wise very nice TFS

Great work,well done.

Hi Ziggy! Most unusual POV! That duckling needs mum close by, it's awfully little. Good feather detail on the mother. A tender natural moment. Good job!
A very sweet shot. The water looks so clear!
I would have preferred more space at the bottom but I know how fast they can swim!
Well done and thanks for posting.
