[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello one and all, today's upload is called "I must Rest".With so many mouths to feed the adult foxes have their work cut out for themselves and like all hard working individuals need to take a break and rest up some. This adult had returned from hunting and dropped a mouse down for the kits to eat and play with which they did quite willingly. The little kit you see in this photo had other ideas about letting the adult get some rest and wanted to play but the adult just was too tired for that sort of activity and in no uncertain terms let the kit know that now is not the time for play. The mouse that the adult did drop off caused all of the kits a great deal of excitement and they all took turns carrying it but not really eating it.I have in the workshop a couple of shots showing the kits with that mouse in mouth.I wish that at the time the sun were shining for the best detail possible but I take my shots no matter what the light might be.I hope you enjoy these photos and know that I'll add more as I have nearly 1800,so far of the two fox families but none with the adults in a good light. The adults leave the kits alone while they hunt for the food they all need to survive,no wonder they need to rest. Bob

Good almost excellent work with your good gear bob...It is standout...I think becuase it is on the cusp of an environmental image...VERY well seen by me at least...you must write back and tell me how much is full frame....is any cropped? If not then it is perfect as a WYSIWYG! As well!

Hi Bob, wonderful image, the detail is first class and the composition is really excellent, a fine execution to this image, colouration and detail is just spot on.

Hello Bob,

I'm sure all mothers will know this scenario!
Probably fathers too!
I can empathise with it!

Great series of shots! You capture so much life and animation as well as character into your shots. Surerb details and very nicely composed.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Bob
Beautiful shot. Great OOF flower background, great sharpness, cute foxes and nice moment. Ithink that you could crop it from the bottom - to improve the composition
Best wishes
Krzysztof

Hello Bob,
Very natural shot of the mom and kit. DOF is perfect for this image. Extremely good detail and exposure. I just saw a red fox from my truck this morning in the field down the street, but of course didn't have my camera with me. Lovely shot!! TFS Thomas

Your picture is so "alive", it i s a gem. I also like the square frame and with those two in it, it is wonderful. Even though the light isn't the greatest, it shows much details and the colourful coat of the foxes is shining with red anyway. Beautiful, once again, une réussite, and so very touching. Thanks Bob, and I hope you will keep on photographing those fox families, how exciting it must be for you. Bye bye!

Hello Bob

A wonderful interactive capture.
The expressions on the two foxes is priceless.
Like the kit is saying "Are you serious, you don't want to play?".
I think this shot can apply to motherhood in general at one time of the day or another.
Excellent sharpness and focus,
A jot to view.
