[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Although this big furry fellow wasn't facing me, I just had to post this one.

I've been looking for this guy for a long time, I could smell him on garbage night but he never came out during the day...until now!

Hello Lise

A beautiful capture of this smelly mustelid.
Did you know that White Striped Skunks are very rare here on TN? This might be only the second one posted.
This shows the fur detail wonderfully.
The pov is very good showing the magnificent tail.
I hope you maintained a safe distance. If a skunk begins to stomp it's front feet ,that is the warning sign it is about to spray.
Thanks for sharing this one.I am still looking for a worthy skunk to post some day.
Rob

Hi Lise,
A brave photographer you are!! I have wondered across these lovely but smelly critters on many a camping trip, but usually at night. Very nice detail and exposure on the fur. A shot of its face would have made a perfect composition, but I don't think anyone would be brave enough to ask this guy to turn around. Thanks for sharing!! Thomas

bonjour Lise

TFS

A brave find Lise.
I actually like this point of view, because it shows how furry it is.The clarity is very good too.
I have tried this myself, but had to run too fast and the shot never turned out.

Hello Lise,
Great image of the business end of a skunk. Your image shows great details and color in this little ones fur. I think they are cute but they can be aweful pests.

Merci!
