Bonjour Rick, what a nice picture. I think you are great at birds' photography. It is perfectly shot with amazing details and beautiful composition with the branches. The colours are subtle, as always in your pictures, yet realistic and so natural. I wish you a nice shift of work and glad Lucy is helping you out for the commuting. Hi Rick , great composition , I like the branches and foliage creating a nice frame for this little sparrow m good detail and color as well. hope your shift goes quick & that yourself this little sparrow and the rest of Alberta is soon singing in the sun ;-)

Rain? I've forgotten what that is. I love these White Crowned Sparrows - come to think of it I haven't seen one for a while. Great pose - he reminds me of an opera singer belting out an aria. Nice details - wonderful eye, good natural colors and a nice setting. I'll miss you. Be good!

Beautiful capture of the white crowned sparrow.I love these little birds and have a special bonding with them as i have family almost living right behind in my backyard.
This one has been caught nicely with beak open and in fine clarity .The colours are beautiful and i see that depsite overcst conditions you managed a fine shot.

Your White Crowned Sparrow is singing up a storm I see. They have such a nice song to listen to. I like how you captured him with his beak open. Interesting to see how the grey in his feathers matches the grey in the bark....good camouflage. Overall a really nice portrait.
