Merci Lise!

Lise,
Yes, nature can be cruel at times. It is interesting that you noticed 'heart attacks' in birds from 'cat-induced' trauma (if I can put it in those words). That's very interesting.
Its too bad that this little fellow didn't make it. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of juveniles make it through and sometimes we just don't know about it. Here of course, you've captured this one forever - if it only knew that people around the world will read about it... I guess such is life. Thanks for sharing this story - even if it doesn't have a happy ending.
Best Regards,
Martin

bonjour Lise

Hi Lise
Awww. the sad fact is that domesticated cats do not need to eat birds for their food supply,so it is a shame.
You know for as many robins I have seen in my life, I never recall seeing the small ones with this breast pattern.
It is either he did as you said, or had flown into a window perhaps.
Nice clear shot!
Enjoy your week.
Doug

A very nice picture Lise. Good shades of colour. Sorry to hear he didn't last. I always wonder about the laws of nature. TFS Trevor
