A large dark flycatcher of fields and other open areas, the Eastern Kingbird is a common and widespread species. Despite its name, its range extends from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast.

Medium-sized songbird.
Head and back dark.
Throat, chest, and belly white.
White tip to dark tail.

Size: 19-23 cm (7-9 in)
Wingspan: 33-38 cm (13-15 in)
Weight: 33-55 g (1.16-1.94 ounces)

Excellent pose, DOF, and POV. This is a beautiful bird and looks like he made eye contact with you - which makes me feel as if I'm making eye contact with it. The feathers appear soft - great texture...

Hi Mario, very excellent detail seen on this Eastern Kingbird of yours. The lighting is excellent with very good colour. Your depth of field is very effective in giving us the bird while muting down the background. With respect to the crop, I might have chopped maybe another half inch off the top to make the bird just a little more symmetrical on the vertical.

Great capture of the Eastern Kingbird
Nicely composed with a excellent POV and a lovely pose, I like to see them with the wings folded and with the head turned.
