What I specially like about this picture is the frame of colorful vegetation around the Porcupine, JP.
We have seen very little of this animal on TN, so your picture fills that vacuum admirably well. The partial view of the animal gives a clear impression of its face and fur.

On dirait que j'ai raté pas mal d'images pendant mon absence - cele-ci en tout cas est magnifique, c'est rare de voir des porc-épic sur TN. Il est si mignon, et vous avez vraiment réusi à en faire un photo formidable. J'aime bien les couleurs, en particulier, elles sont lumineuses tout en restant très naturalles. Félicitations !

Your Erethizon is very similar to Hystrix porcupine here. But they put into two different families. You capture this interesting rodent with a nice shot. great details and composition. Thanks for sharing, best wishes

Not only is the Porcupine excellent but the picture is so pretty with the beautiful flowers that frame him. He looks so cute peeking out from the plants with his hairs sticking out. Beautiful colors, details and composition.

Ha! Chanceux, découvrir derrière ce beau buisson un porc-épic, c'est fantastique! Les couleurs sont vraiment belles, ce rouge et ce vert et la boue représentent bien l'environnement du porc-épic dans les forêts et boisés. J'aime ces animaux et ta photo nous le présente surpris, j'aime beaucoup. Merci!
