hello dear TN friends, the Common Moorhen is the 3th of 3
new speeecies of bird that i took in photo at the Nature Park
of Bois de l'ile Bizard : http://www.out-there.com/qc12bib.htm

i have done other shots of the Common Moorhen,
the other ones will be posted in the future,
photo shot with my SLR-like bridge Fujifilm,
at Raw format and ISO 400

from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology website
here is somes notes on the Common Moorhen :

http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Common_Moorhen.html

« The most widely distributed member of the rail family,
the Common Moorhen inhabits marshes and ponds from
Canada to Chile, from northern Europe to southern Africa,
and across Asia to the Pacific. Vocal and boldly marked,
the species can be quite conspicuous, sometimes using
its long toes to walk atop floating vegetation.

Twelve subspecies of Common Gallinule are recognized
from around the world, most differing only in size or brightness
of plumage. One subspecies is found only in the Hawaiian Islands
and has been known as the Hawaiian Gallinule. »

Merci

Asbed

A soft and heartfelt shot Asbed. It catches the bird without even knowing. And so it goes about it's daily activities without worry. Very good Mon Ami! I played with it, but yours is better. I am too tired...I am heading off to listen to classical music and sleep!
Bob

Hello Asbed,
Though you have managed the difficult lighting well to make this image attractive, certain details of this juvenile Moorhen have been lost in the shade. Nice action though!
However on the whole this is a pleasing result with the habitat playing almost as important a role as the main subject in this fine composition.
TFS this appealing image,
Ivan

Bonjour Asbed
Merci pour tes commentaires sur mes premières photos du Bresil

Nice composition under difficult light conditions

Bonjour Asbed,

Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hi Asbed,

A delightful shot of this Moorhen within the circles he has made in the water. What is wonderful about this picture is not only the Moorhen, but the beautiful natural habitat. It would be even better if you had been able to pick up details of the face but the light worked against you.

Jane

Hi Asbed, something I like your pictures..Maybe movement, Natural colors, softness or composition...Waves on the water give life to the picture..Your notes very useful too...Thanks to share...Regards, Leyla

Hello Asbed

A lovely capture of this moorhen.
They are quick and like to hide out in the vegetation, well done.
Good pov and dof.
The details show well.

Rob

This would have been a very difficult shot, Asbed, due to the lighting, which you have used beautifully to your advantage!
