This picture is only a test with a combination of lens Canon L 100-400 f4-5.6 + TC 1.4 + extention tube 12 MM. No flash was used to take the picture only natural light at sunset. Post-processing : only sharpen as usual for me.

This is an attractive image Jean. I like the dark ambiance. I might have cropped just a tad more off the top. He has already lost his feet and putting him a little higher in the frame feels more comfortable to me.

I have that same lens and converter though have not used them together. Do you think your image is any better than it would have been with the lens alone and cropping the photo to the same size as this?

Jean-Yves, cette photo est une oeuvre d'art. On croirait du Rembrandt en photo, la lumière douce et la beauté des nuances dup lumage de l'oiseau. Même ses plumes longues semblent danser pour toi. J'espère que tu vas pousser "l'expérimentation" et continuer dans cette veine, c'est superbe, je te lève mon chapeau,
