Hallo Michel
What a beauty of a bird this is. You have used the light so well to show it of to its bright yellow colour and fine detail. I like the silver coloured pencil shaped beak, and the clarity of the paws and sharp nails. The flashlight caught in the eye is great and adds speciality to this already special image. The green background highlight the bright colour of the feathers even more and makes the contrast between the colours great. Thanks for sharing, it was most enjoyable to look at. Kind regards

Jimmy Crickets....It is majorly yellow...I mean there is no guess..as in "lets see what colour this is..." This is YELLOW! It is almost blindingly yellow. It screams yellow...I almost forgot there is a bird there:-)

Hi Michel,

A beautiful little Warbler. You caught this fast moving bird in a wonderful pose. Nice vivid yellow, beautiful sparkle in the eye. Sharp details of the face and plummage. I'm far away from you but I have noticed that only the old stand-bys are around. Lots and lots of babies - more than I can remember in any other year.

Tu as bien raison, les oiseaux sont très rare cette année. J'ai donc décidé de photographier des insects (c'est plein de variétés différentes cette été). Excellente photo avec de merveilleux détails, belle prise de vue et un superbe jaune brillant!

Excellent capture of this beautiful Yellow Warbler. Very sharp details, lovely light and colours and a fine background too. Personally I think you've cropped it a bit too tight above its head but that is a minor critique.
Yes, we've definitely seen fewer birds here this year!

je vais d'abord commencer par la luminosité
de l'image que je trouve excellente, WOW !
superbe POV, DOF et cadrage, j'aimes ton background naturel,
superbe netteté et détails, jolie catch-light à l'oeil
et surtout j'aimes aussi l'ombre de la branche
sur le plumage de l'oiseau, un ombre sans affecter les couleurs,

Thanks for writing your kind critique on my recent picture.
This small yellow Warbler is so well captured it looks life-like.
If there is a marked absence or shortage of some of the birds in your part of the world at this time of the year, that adds another area of anxieties we are in the grip of vis-a-vis global warming. Hope normalcy returns soon.

You have caught this Yellow Warbler at its best!
The yellow plumage is striking and the pose, POV, sharpness and composition against a natural OOF BG shows this male off beautifully.
Yes, we have noticed that there are generally less birds in Sweden, except some species like members of the crow family that seem to be able to adapt better at present to our destruction of the environment.

It's been quite some time since i last visited your gallery...i'm sorry; it seems i've missed quite a lot of beautiful shots.

This is a splendid capture of this Yellow Warbler.
The bright yellow of this bird is simply amazing and very attractive, even from the thumbnail! I love it.
Your exposure here is spot-on and renders it perfectly.
That aside, the sharpness and level of close-up are outstanding and give us a very good idea of the details of this beautiful species.
Very good DOF and side POV, too.
Wonderful work is all aspects!
