Flower Beetle

Hi Folks , I sure would appreciate any help to give an ID to this insect :-)
I am a little surprised some times how hard it is to match an image to a name , especially when it comes to an insect such as this. it is a very common one that I often see, they are found on flowers feeding on pollen and mating , seems to be all they really do :-) , probably explains why they are so common...
thanks for stopping in
regards

Hi Art.
I often meet this species and also do not know its ID. However, close-up is excellent. Especially I like great POV and composition of the image. Flash lights is perfect. Colours are natural and rich. Despite the huge aperture value DOF is shallow a bit. This is a result of short shooting distance at use of 2x TC. In such case I prefer to increase the subject distance and then crop the image. However, perfect job and all my compliments.
Alexei.
