Hi Folks , today I have this insect that I am just not at all sure about , perhaps some type of wasp ?
well any help with a name for this insect would certainly be appreciated

Hi Art,
for my taste it not a wasp- some kind of Horntail also called Wood wasp- Siricidae family- but unfortunatelly don't know which one... nice photo, sharp and clear, good composition and colours.

Hello Art!
Yes, it looks like some kind of parasitic wasp which lays eggs on larvae living inside wood. Very nice capture - interesting subject, sharp and detailed, good composition and BG.

Can't help with the Id, but its quite a good shot of whatever it is. I'm surprised some of the insect people couldn't help you. nevermind we can't always stick a name on everything.
