[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Folks , today I thought I would go with a panorama shot of the red deer river valley.

this valley was formed during the last glacial period , around 22000 to 12000 years ago , at that time Alberta was buried in glacial ice up to a kilometer thick when the glaciers began to melt they acted like damns for huge lakes of thawed glacier water eventually the glaciers collapsed and these huge lakes sent torrents of water across the province one of these bodies of water was the Red Deer River , which cut through the glacial rubble and rock carving out the canyons found in the area today.

Hi Art,
This must have been the same flood that created the badlands in Washington state. It is very impressive to see it in real and knowing what happend make you feel very small.
The panorama is wonderful and perfectly executed. I really like how you used the mountains on both sides to naturally frame the photo.
