Fly & Dandelion
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hi Folks , today I have this insect on a dandelion flower , at first I though it was a wasp but now looking at the image I am not so sure and am some what thinking that it was actually a hoverfly , I never got any other images of it than two shots from this angle and it moved on about its business , but now looking at its mouth I am thinking it would have biting parts if it had been a wasp.
well ID's are still not my strongest point :-)
regards

hello roberts,
nice capture, the colors are lovely, the frontal pov is quite suitable, the pollens on the body of the insects tell the story here,
well done,
tfs & regards

yes, its fly no doubt. very good image with nice viewpoint, the pollen carrying fly is in great position. little bit more light would have been better. tfs.

Hello Art, Very nice shot with the closeup focussing on the eye of the fly. But if you notice the pollen is everywhere on the top of the fly.Well done Ganesh
