Hi.
I was taking a break in respect of my friends stance here
It's hard to not see the other friends accumulated here, and marvel their photos.
I was also on a trip by myself to Jasper and a few other places.
I'd like to show a few of the shots of wildlife taken at Jasper and near the Columbia Icefields.

----------------------------------
Bighorn sheep were amongst the most admired animals of the Apsaalooka, or Crow, people, and what is today called the Bighorn Mountain Range was central to the Apsaalooka tribal lands. In the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area book, storyteller Old Coyote describes a legend related to the bighorn sheep. A man possessed by evil spirits attempts to kill his heir by pushing the young man over a cliff, but the victim is saved by getting caught in trees. Rescued by bighorn sheep, the man takes the name of their leader, Big Metal. The other sheep grant him power, wisdom, sharp eyes, sure footedness, keen ears, great strength and a strong heart. Big Metal returns to his people with the message that the Apsaalooka people will survive only so long as the river winding out of the mountains is known as the Bighorn River.

What a beautiful stance he has - he actually looks like a statue I think. Are you sure he is real??? Yes, I do know he is :)
It is good to see him in this area of the mountain range and see the trees behind him

Hi Doug.
You have returned with amazing shot. All is perfect for my taste. Pictured animal is amazing in so attractive surroundings. Great DOF and details of the entire scene, exposure and colours are wonderful too. Well done and many thanks for sharing.
Alexei.

Welcome back! I was beginning to wonder if you were gone for good. Your sheep looks so "statuesque" that It almost doesn't look real. It is a great pose. Oh, I see that Janice said the same thing! I curious if there is some lens distortion in this image. The right 2/3 of the image ( trees, sheep) seems to be tilted to the left.
Did you crop this from a larger image? I do like the colors and the setting a lot

Good to see another shot of a ram on TrekNature! The rock ledge this guy is standing on frames the lower edge nicely - and I like how it has colors that complement those of your subject too. Thanks for sharing and thanks for commenting on my ram post, Sir - may we both capture future shots of these majestic animals and share them on this site! -Kelly
